Workstation configuration:

The system is designed to operate 12 of the 21 workstations with a 38 mm connection and the 4 directly connected 50 mm workstations at the same time. Each workstation is equipped with a universal nozzle that has an integrated cross-shaped catch. This prevents larger workpieces from being sucked in and protects the system from damage.

Installation and control:

The radial blower and the filter units are positioned inside the workshop according to the plan specifications. The pipes are clearly distributed across the workstations and are clearly labeled. Manual shutter valves  on the pipes enable easy changing and connecting of the hoses. The flexibility of the Flixpipe hoses enables precise adjustment for optimal suction power.

Time and manual control:

A weekly program defines the operating and break times of the system. Automatic switching on and off ensures efficiency and energy savings. During breaks, the system can be used to clean the filters. Alternatively, manual operation is possible in order to react flexibly to unforeseen requirements.

Safety and monitoring systems:

• Redundant filter system: Each work area has its own filter, according to a color coding system. If a filter fails, the operation of the remaining filters is guaranteed, thus avoiding production downtime.
• Automatic filter cleaning: Cleaning is carried out using compressed air after breaks and at the end of work.
• Differential pressure sensors: Sensors are installed on the cyclones to continuously monitor the condition of the filters. In the event of an overload, filter cleaning is automatically triggered.
• Thermal monitoring: Cyclones are equipped with sensors that react to sparks or embers. In the event of a fault, the system switches off immediately.
• BMA connection: In the event of an alarm, the system is automatically deactivated and must be restarted manually.

The entire system is made of robust steel to withstand the demanding requirements of daily use. With this solution, Pankl Racing Systems is optimally positioned for the future.
